Club fees are determined on a year to year basis. The fees are normally announced at the club parent meeting and are due no later than the first game of the Metro season. (please see that attached Payment Plan form). Failure to timely pay the club fee or set up a payment plan will result in your child not being able to participate in practices or games. All checks should be made payable to Vandalia Youth Basketball Association, LLC or VYBA.

All parents are required to volunteer throughout the season to help have a successful year. Two parent volunteers are required for each home game. These volunteers work either the game clock or the gate/concession table. When game schedules have been solidified, your child’s coach will provide more information. For those teams that play their Metro end-of-season tournament in Vandalia, volunteers are also required to support the games played at Vandalia locations. Tournament locations will be determined later in the season.

The uniforms are the property of the VYBA program. Your child will be given a uniform and a shooting shirt. The shooting shirt is yours to keep. Uniforms are the responsibility of the player and parent to return in good condition at the end of the season. If the uniform is not turned in, a fee of $50.00 will be assessed.

All members are required to participate in the organization's fundraising activities or take advantage of any offered buyout options provided. Failure to do either is cause for practice and/or game suspensions as directed by the Vandalia Youth Basketball Association, LLC Board.
- 05
Tryouts are normally held beginning in mid-September. At least two tryouts are held for each age group, however while it is preferred that the potential player attends both tryouts, it is not required.
- 06
Teams practice twice per week for 1.5 hours each. Practices are held in Vandalia at local gyms. If parents decide to stay at practice it is expected that they will be quiet and respectful of the coaches and that they (and any siblings) will stay in the gym only and not in the hallways or the rest of the building.

VYBA teams play in the Dayton Metro League www.DaytonMetro.org and therefore we abide by the rules set forth by the Dayton Metro League. There is an admission charge for all spectators at all VYBA games (home and away). On the Dayton Metro League website you can also find game schedules, gym locations and standings.

Each team in the Dayton Metro League participates in a year end tournament. This tournament is held at the end of February/beginning of March.
